Maple Leafs
3-2-1The Leafs have a quiet Tuesday ahead of a big road night. Toronto sit 3-2-1 (7 points) after a 6–3 win at the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday 10 October, and no game has been played since. Fox Sports lists them fourth in the Atlantic, with a last-five run of W-L-W-L-W against Vegas, Nashville, Ottawa and the Islanders before Colorado's.
Tonight, Tuesday 13 October, they visit the Utah Mammoth in Salt Lake City, listed at 7pm local, which is 9pm ET. Utah are second in the Central Division, so this is a stern test for a new-look team under GM Chayka and coach Hiller, with first overall pick McKenna and veteran goaltender Bobrovsky. Buffalo visit on Thursday.

The NHL has 32 teams and an 82-game season. Six skaters and a goalie play at a time, over three 20-minute periods. Substitutions happen on the fly, so lines of players rotate every minute or so.
A record is written wins–losses–overtime losses. A win is 2 points. A regulation loss is 0. A loss in overtime or a shootout earns 1 point, which is why the third number matters.
Sixteen teams make the Stanley Cup playoffs, four rounds of best-of-seven. The Leafs are one of the Original Six teams and play in the Atlantic Division. The general manager builds the roster and the coach runs the games.
